Gold leaf holds up well and the people I've made scarves for seem to like it. I was a bit picky, but that's ok. Just don't expect it to be flawless, it's sticky but holds up well. My main problem was the yarn itself, I bought 8 skeins and none of them were the same density. So it was either really fluffy and full, or better compatible with finer yarns. However, this can create a cool textured look if you want. A little more variety in the scarf looked pretty cool.

This yarn is tough for a scarf, but warm and suitable for knitting a scarf. It flakes, as other reviewers have noted, but not enough to give it a one-star rating.
