My wife has one in her kitchen and loves it. I have one in my home office and use it for time segmentation. It helps me a lot to focus on moving from project to project. Other things I like about it: (+) It doesn't tick like a feather. So it's not distracting. (+) Incredibly easy to set the time. Do you need improvements? (-) I wish the next gen had a way to mount at an angle. It is currently magnetized. Perfect to put on the fridge but not on my desk.

I spent too much time choosing the right timer but I think I did well with this one. I can't say anything about the durability, but it works well. Easy to read, beautiful to look at, pretty easy to use. The alarm isn't too loud on lower settings (although I wish it was even quieter at 2am!). It really is a beautiful thing. Seems well done. The problem is that it just doesn't work very well. Setting up a watch face with the right level of detail is very difficult. You're either advancing the numbers too slowly, or you're getting close to them and have to back off. A very inefficient way to set a timer. Who has to set minutes and seconds on a kitchen timer? It's awkward to install because it scrolls in a matter of seconds and goes too slow at first and then too fast. Also, it defaults to the last timer setting, which is useless and just creates extra steps. And also. The magnets aren't strong enough to hold it when you rotate the dial. The look of this kitchen timer caught my attention. It has a great style that would look appropriate in any kitchen. Timer control is simple yet so advanced. No clutter of keys or tiny, hard-to-read display. I need reading glasses and was frustrated with other timers because I always had to put my glasses on to see the display. I could throw away my reading glasses for that! (Don't worry. I won't. I need them to read other things.) There are only positives to this timer. There are no downsides.
