Weak glass, bad buy

It broke when I first used it. The day after arrival. The glass is very flimsy and the tip popped out as soon as I pulled it out of the case!

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Minor problems

Helpful and accurate!

I bought this to check the accuracy of some fridge thermometers. Another reviewer mentioned this product. Definitely calm down. When you receive it, don't try to rotate it. The upper part seems to have to be unscrewed from the case. It actually takes the thermometer apart! Simply pull the thermometer out of the case. I hope my review helps. I would definitely buy again!

Good quality field thermometer

Accurate (I tested it with a digital infrared thermometer and an ice bath), easy to read and comes in a stylish case for field use. People who don't understand that these are not mouth thermometers for measuring temperature. They are not designed to hold and "shake" a maximum reading: they are scientific thermometers with a much wider range than human body temperature.

Pros
  • Pleasing
Cons

Excellent clinical thermometer. Good for monitoring the weather.

Very happy with this thermometer. The thermometer, removed from the metal case, quickly adjusts to the air temperature. I haven't used it with liquids yet. I use this thermometer to measure the air temperature both indoors and outdoors. Seems accurate compared to other thermometers I use to monitor outside temperatures for meteorological observations.

  • Dope 🔥

Perfect Old Tech Fits Thermometer

The thermometer arrived with an air bubble in the liquid which offended the scale 20 degrees. A simple solution is to tie a rope over the top and swing it vigorously to use centrifugal force to dislodge the air bubbles. Works great after setup. Very accurate when checked with an IR thermometer. There are no batteries, there is nothing to break, a convenient plastic mount. Hang it on a teacup hook and it becomes the perfect room thermometer. The scale goes up to 220 degrees Fahrenheit, so it can

From 12 to 15 degrees!

Bought this thermometer to replace an old mercury pocket thermometer and was disappointed. In the morning 31F the thermometer showed 45F. In my house the 63F thermometer read 75F. It seems all the pocket thermometers featured at Revain use the same technology and I don't want to keep trying to find one that works so I'll search eBay for an old mercury pocket thermometer. Daniel Fahrenheit invented the alcohol thermometer in 1709 and the mercury thermometer in 1714. Three hundred years later…
