No money for springs

Almost impossible to use even after watching the tutorial video. When I finally compressed the spring, I couldn't relax it. Now at the bottom of the trash can.

Will not work with camshaft fitted

Couldn't find a spring compressor offered by Chrysler, bought it hoping it would work, handle is right where most cams go. You need to draw the head or motor or build your own compressor like I did

Restricted use of the app!

I bought this to try and remove the valve springs on a 1993 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4.0L Inline 6. Sorry but even with a simple motor like this the tool kept slipping what a waste of money. I built my own instrument and did my job, the instrument sat in a box outside my door for several years, just never came up to give a review. Although I have many useful tools from Lisle and use them daily, this one didn't work. Many Thanks

Problems with double valve springs

The compressor is really cool and very easy to use. I had no problem getting it on the springs, but getting the height right so the goaltenders were exposed was often a gimmick and required multiple tries. The only issue I noticed was that there were issues with the dual valve springs. I managed to get it to work, but I wouldn't be sure if I was just unlucky. The small eyelets on the spring hooks don't go far enough to actually hook that inner spring. In terms of durability, this is a toughโ€ฆ

Difficult to mount on a spring.

Like others here, I found that the spring basically didn't hold up. It took me too much trouble to get the hooks on the spring to start the compression maneuver. A cam grip that applies a compressive force seems like a good idea, but it actually takes so much force to get it in place, it needs to be loose and clear for me to get the job done, but I think I am stronger, many who will try to use this tool. You can remove the cam handle and use the included 1/2" screw. This is a good feature. This
