work great for spare parts

Very useful if you are tired of leaking ATF when removing and installing the gearbox. Multiple sizes included. It is also nice if you simply save the transmission. Used on my Powerglide, Turbo 400, 4L60E, Muncie 4 spd., T56 Magnum.

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Crumpled

Worked great to prevent gear oil spillage

Had to replace the BRZ throwout bearing but didn't want to drain the gear oil. Plugged in, no leaks. There were no leaks when moving the gearbox either, so I am very happy with the kit.

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • Very expensive

Complete set to fit pan and drain plugs

Seems to be every size I'll ever need for most cars. You should be able to find the one you want and insert it deep enough to cover the output shaft. I don't think you'll find one that doesn't get the job done with the variety of sizes and tapered sealing range.

Pros
  • Automotive
Cons
  • I'm writing back

Incredibly useful and inexpensive

I bought these thinking "hey, that's cheap enough I could use them" and of course I really needed them. I used these on my Ford Thunderbird 86 with an AOD transmission. I had to use some really good duct tape to hold it in place (aluminum HVAC tape) but it held the fluid in the transmission for a full 1500 miles of towing.

Pros
  • Gears and Parts
Cons
  • Hard to say

You need it best in transmissions and parts

If you ever need to pull a transmission, you need it. I don't know how many times I've tied plastic bags or nitrile gloves to the rear transmission shaft only for it to fill with fluid and burst, making a hell of a mess. This plug set completes it. They are durable and well made considering they are plastic. Should have bought a few years ago.

Pros
  • Shells and drain plugs
Cons
  • Guards

simple but perfect tool for the job

I like to strip down cars and small trucks from time to time and make a few extra bucks. There's nothing worse than pulling out the transmission and spilling all the liquids on the garage floor. In over 35 years in aftermarket parts sales, I have always recommended Lisle tools and use them at least a couple of times a week. well thought out and durable. This kit fits so many different shemales, I wish I had found them sooner. thanks for the perfect product.

Pros
  • transmission and gearbox
Cons
  • upgradeable
