🔧 Lisle 28500 Strap Wrench: Convenient and Versatile Tool for Effortless Gripping and Loosening Review

I recently changed the timing belt. Great tool for holding and rotating pulleys and tensioners. Also great for holding the fan clutch to tighten the fan back onto the clutch. I highly recommend this tool.

I bought a year ago, the tape broke about 3 inches before the end. Thought I'd replace it and get a longer strap for work projects. The new one is shorter than the broken belt. VERY DISAPPOINTED!

The belt is too tight. It's too soft. If you're in a tight situation and don't need a lot of stretching room, this won't work. It's better to take a good metal and maybe a piece of rubber around the filter so it's easier to grab.

In places with limited space, the tool is inconvenient as flexing the handle reduces the turning or holding range. Had it been aluminum the turning range would have been greater and it would have been worth paying more for a better tool. If freedom of movement is not an issue, this is a very good tool with a wide scope.

This is a tough, American made strap wrench that can be used 100 times. It recently held the camshaft pulley on my Subaru when I tightened the center bolt to the factory spec of 130 ft.lbs. Very impressive. If you need a strap wrench, this one will exceed your expectations. The handle is 14 inches long and the strap is just under an inch wide. It's more than you think.
