Description of πŸ”§ Lisle 35070 Button Connector Pliers: Optimal tool for effortless button and connector handling

Disconnects fuel line, EVAP line and DEF fittings with tabs that must be depressed to disengage. Works great on Delphi two tab connectors and some import vehicles. Can also be used on some electrical connectors. 23" cable for hard-to-reach connectors. Ratcheting pliers lock in place so two hands can be used to separate connectors. Double-dipped grips for comfort.

Useless Tool for Automotive Wiring

These pliers are a waste of money for any automotive job. They don't grip the connectors well, and the button release is frustratingly ineffective.

Pros
  • None
Cons
  • Poor gripping ability

Takes time in stores

This is a 100% brand new tool with no real time in shops with real 40+ hour mechanics. I'm a mechanic with over 40 hours of experience and I pay the bills for it so this tool will take almost a year in the shops to see if it's worth it. Neither DYI nor the weekend mechanic should perform tool checks.

Pros
  • Disconnects fuel line, EVAP hoses and DEF fittings with tabs that need to be pushed to disconnect.
Cons
  • Unsure

Rarely used valuable tool.

I'm a field mechanic and some of these button jacks are either out of reach of my hands and fingers, or they're painted over or clogged with road grime. These pliers have enough power to break paint and get into tighter spots than my hands. I've only used them a couple of times so far but I can say they do what I need. Don't use them often, but when you do, they're life-saving.

Pros
  • Double handles for more comfort
Cons
  • There are more interesting options.
