I can't use a tool that often right after I bought it. I bought this for an inbuilt parking brake caliper on a Dodge Grand Caravan. I used to do them in different ways, but not like this. This tool worked great! !

This is one of those specialty tools you can do without. As long as you don't have to retrieve a snapped or stretched parking brake cable from your car, this is invaluable. Makes unplugging wires easier and eliminates a lot of swearing and swearing.

This tool helps disconnect the parking brake cable from the rear drum backing plate. It slides over the jagged area and squeezes it, allowing you to pull the cable out. This worked great when I changed the rear axle. It is worth it! By the way, I don't know what "stretch" means in the review section.

Tried to remove cable with screwdriver and pliers but found this little tool. Oh what a breeze it was. You simply insert the end of the cable (the gap isn't wide enough with the spring end in your drums), place it over the clasp and push down to pull the cable out. Definitely worth buying even if never used again.
