Did the job.: Tools & Equipment

Rebuilt my 64ft CJ5's windshield. I used a lot of soap and this makes it so much easier. A great tool for shaping glass with a bead. Made R quickly with the right tool. Tried many other strings and other ideas but this works best in my book.

An essential tool for installing windshield fuse strips!

Works well once you get the hang of it. I installed a lock bar on a 1989 BMW 325i e30 in 20 minutes using this tool and some soapy water. You'll have to practice the technique by pressing your thumb from behind, but it's a quick job from there.

  • Excellent Overall Performance

This tool kept breaking down for me.

This tool was a lifesaver and a pain. It worked for a few seconds and then fell apart because the cocking knob wouldn't stay in place. This made window installation easier but also more time consuming compared to a stationary tool that is not a 2-in-1 rotary head.

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Lightly dented

I watched a few videos of people installing the exact same windshield that I had to make. I didn't think I had to buy this product. I found out the hard way that I should - when I started pushing it forward it was so smooth I figured I should kick myself for not getting it sooner - try it and you will believe it too!

  • nice touch

Tool broke best in Tools & Equipment

This tool crashed into the stripper and a side that was meant to fit the strip broke midway through installation completely ruining my strip and cutting a gasket in the process . Now I have to buy a new seal and support rod! I used lots of soap and didn't force the tool in any way. If it didn't break or cause damage I would love this tool. But it seems I have neither time nor money and I am very frustrated.

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Update available
