Definitely not for Graphite

I bought this retail based on the reviews here. I think this is the worst sharpener I've had as an adult. It's too big for regular graphite and I don't care about the thick tip of my colored pencil. Now I have three of them - at least I was able to use the coupon. I used to think it was stupid when people used a knife to sharpen. Not after passing the sharpener. Even if you find a good one, it gets boring quickly. And I hate the extravagance of buying them and just throwing them away.

BEST sharpener for pastel pencils.

I use these for pastel pencils as they seem to be the only ones that actually sharpen and don't eat away half the pencils when put into an electric sharpener. They fade fairly quickly, so it's important to have extra products on hand. I've tried about twelve different sharpeners, including an electric one that produces a very thin tip for crayons, but eats up a third to a half of a pencil. I was looking for a reliable charcoal pencil sharpener. This is the only carbon head that hasn't broken while sharpening. .
