Attention buyers

There is very little of what I consider classic Aran knit sweaters in this book. Lots of colorful sweaters, socks, mittens etc. If you were expecting a lot from what the cover shows, look elsewhere. However, colored jerseys like Argyle/Argyle and others are fine. I'm just saying.

Pros
  • Delivery was very quick
Cons
  • Concise instructions

Misleading book title

Very misleading title. This book does not include Little Aran and Celtic Knit patterns. There is a pattern (front side) for Celtic knitting. Aran knit sweaters come from the Aran Islands off the west coast of Ireland. These patterns are for sweaters that appear to have originated in Scandinavia. Lots of prints from yarn of different colors. Definitely not Aran sweaters.

Pros
  • Pretty packaging
Cons
  • Little things

BEAUTIFUL, BEAUTIFUL, BUT NOT SO.

I love the design of this book. However, I don't like instructions. It's much better to fill wide margins with fuller guides. I'm quite an experienced knitter and I'm not at all afraid of knitting by myself, but the "Alexa Poncho" I knitted for my granddaughter Alexa confused me at times. I definitely wouldn't recommend it for inexperienced knitters, it just requires too much knowledge.
