Description of 🧶 Living Dreams Yarn EcoLana - Certified Organic Merino, Ethically Sourced, Hand Dyed in the USA, Sugarplum

Skein of 100g (3.5oz) / 300m (328yd) — 100% Certified Organic Merino Wool — 2-ply Fingering/Sport Weight — US Needle 3-5. USA HAND DYED: We chose a sophisticated, elegant color palette for our EcoLana line. Each skein is indiviually kettle-dyed for those complex, textured tones that can only be achieved through careful hand dyeing. Our yarns are colorfast and are created using the safest dyes available. KIND TO SKIN AND PLANET: Most merino yarn is made from commercially produced wool that is passed through harsh chemical baths during processing. Some of these chemicals remain on the fiber, causing skin irritations. Our merino is processed safely without the use of toxic chemicals. Perfect for babies, for those with skin sensitivities, and for anyone wanting to make environmentally conscious purchases. ORGANIC CERTIFICATION by the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) and the Institute for Marketology (IMO). Our yarn is guaranteed to be free from a range of harmful substances often found in manufacturing, including formaldehyde, pesticides, and heavy metals. 100% RISK-FREE PURCHASE: We know it can be difficult to choose yarn online, but don’t worry—we’ve got your back. If you don’t fall in love with EcoLana, we’ll take it back for a full refund.

Soft and warm, doesn't scratch at all

I made a hat for a friend with cancer from this yarn. I bought it because it was made without toxic chemicals. The super soft texture was perfect for the hat and the beautiful hand dyed variegated color added texture to the finished product. I had enough left for a pair of mittens.

Pros
  • nice thing
Cons
  • I don't remember, but something happened

Pretty Yarn

This yarn is soft, beautiful in color and easy to knit with. The only problem I find is that it is very thin so I had to double it to knit a hat for my grandson. The result is a very expensive hat. I feel like if it's truly cruelty free then it's worth it to me. I haven't found many other cruelty free yarn alternatives.

Pros
  • This is Amazing
Cons
  • Some Mistakes

Very thin yarn, sent back.

All 3 purchased returned. They all came in separate packages, one arrived a day early. It was clearly open and smelled of perfume. The other 2 arrived the next day but they were sealed and fine but came in two envelopes. This thread is suitable for those sewing very fine lace or children's clothing, but it is very fine and has a thinner feel than regular finger thread or sports weight. Needle size 5-6 is recommended, but should be closer to 1-3. I was looking for a DK weight to color my hair so

Pros
  • While I am satisfied
Cons
  • I will write later
