Not bad, but not worth buying

This is a beautiful pair of brake levers with a major design flaw. The inner sleeve that prevents the brake cable sleeve from moving when the lever is pushed is too thin. The cable housing just moves forward with the cable, so the brakes don't work. This is relatively easy to fix in terms of design. But don't buy as it's designed. The part broke before I could finish installing the second arm. The problem is compounded by the fact that you have to re-wrap the handlebars after the part failsโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Fits drop bars, especially for road bikes.
Cons
  • Not sure

You must pass this

These levers look pretty cool, but they're so poorly constructed I can't recommend them to anyone. The thing is that the cable rods in the levers are arranged in such a way that 1) the lever does not bring any benefit 2) the length of the path is too short. I have BIG, strong arms and just can't apply enough pressure on the brakes to feel confident when stopping. Mounts with pins and rivets instead of traditional screws on bushings or bearings. This is probably worse than the levers found onโ€ฆ

Pros
  • on. A good replacement for your old or damaged bike brake lever.
Cons
  • Periodicity

You get what you pay for

Aesthetically I like their looks, but the Tektro RL340 is a much better value. Although they look like TRP levers, they're so cheap they lack a brake release button so you can service your wheels. The hoods also have that "foreign made" smell that doesn't come out of them. When pulling back the hoods to tape the steering wheel, the hoods turned white and discolored. The big annoyance I haven't figured out yet is that I can turn the hoods even though I turned the bolt to tighten the lever on the

Grab 'em while you can!

I bought brown/grey, black/silver and black/black levers. First, they are essentially clones of TRP RRL brake levers, except the levers are obviously not drilled. The black/checkered variant doesn't look like these units, so I can't comment on them.
