Anyone buying a piece of equipment is unlikely to be able to match the cost of this kit. It works well. I wish I had planned more carefully before drilling. I hope the seller adds a note to the instructions that putting PL 239 in the middle is not a good idea. Maybe include a drilling template? The Dremel tool solved the problem.

If you like building blocks this is a good one. Functionality is good and the price doesn't bite. One problem: no instructions. To receive a PDF on how to assemble your kit, message the seller through Revain and ask for instructions. Enter your email address and you will receive a PDF document that you can print out.

The supplier emailed me a PDF with pretty clear instructions. It included winding instructions for 1:1, 4:1, and 9:1 configurations, so this works well for many setups. With some rubber washers or So239 connector and port sealant this should be waterproof but they are not included. I'm going to add an eyebolt at the top so I can hang and operate the antenna isolators. All in all, this is a great start for building a project with modality to get what you want.

This kit allows you to assemble a balun. Absolutely. You can build a three voltage type balun in the guide you will eventually get. You can also throw away these instructions and wrap around a balun with 1:1 current as I did. But don't get too excited. The box is really small. It's really hard to put things in place. This is a small handy set of parts, instructions were emailed quickly and are good enough for licensed hobbyists, but licensed hobbyists should be able to figure it out without the instructions. five stars but terminal pins are really cheap, so cheap I just soldered the wires to the terminal. I used a 1:1 balun to connect to an inverted V dipole (20m) installed in the attic. The balun itself really gave everything and I was able to achieve an SWR of more than 1.2 at resonance. My radio is only 20w so I don't know how it will perform with more power. The instructions show fairly decently how to use this to make a 1:1, 1:4 or 1:9 balun.
