Based on other reviews I chose 2 sizes for my son. It was a bad idea. He is a little 6 year old. Usually wears size 6/S, sometimes XS. So I made it big. He has such a big one. He's a little mad about it, but obviously he's dealing with it. Better than too small. I would say take your normal sized kids. Possibly a size one if you want it to be a little big for the height. But in my opinion, a normal size will do. It also has enough stretch if your arms and shoulders are an issue. Still very cute

I bought these for my sons who are 7 years old and the 8.1 jackets ripped after just a week of wearing. (You can see the tear in the photo. I tried to sew it up. Along with another small tear.) The second jacket still looks pretty good, but I noticed that it started tearing at the sleeve as well. (The second jacket was worn for about 3 months) For my 8 year old I bought a size 9-10. It fits perfectly, but I wouldn't go one size smaller. He is 52 inches (4 feet 4 inches) tall and 67 pounds.

5 start without a doubt. The quality is above my expectations. The shoulders are slightly raised giving a sharper look. I ordered a size up and it fits a little big so my child's normal size would be perfect. I ordered it and it was delivered the next day. I love this jacket!

I bought this jacket for my son for Christmas. The zipper was in the package. Not even connected! There are also no teeth on the zipper itself. So now I have to take it somewhere to fix it. The lining is soft and I love how the zipper unzips. I don't think it will last long from the outside but it looks good.

Great coat for my 7 year old. He wanted a leather coat for Christmas and it worked out great! It has a lining for warmth and the sizing is true to size. It looks and feels like leather and is totally worth the price.

I specifically bought it one size larger than my son would like because he wants a leather jacket and is growing fast. If you want to try on a normal size for your child it will work, if like me you have a fast growing child then go and get the next size up just to be on the safe side. He likes it when it's soft and warm inside, but we have to protect him from the weather.

I bought this jacket for my 9 year old grandson. When I received this jacket I tested it and was very impressed. It feels like smooth and soft skin, and the workmanship is very fine. Bad chemical smell and very fluffy from hands. as soon as i opened the packaging, the jacket smelled very strongly of chemicals, i would never force my child to wear something like that. Returned immediately!
