Better than expected

Arrived earlier than expected, just in time to start baking cornbread in the pan with our White Bean Chicken Chili. Perfect size and light enough to be handled by even arthritic hands.

Pros
  • Easy install
Cons
  • A few niggles

Great cast iron skillet!

Very happy with this cast iron skillet! It's heavy cast iron, not flimsy! I'm also glad that during this troubled time the seller sent this to me anyway (even a day earlier than promised)! I will use this seller again if needed!

Pros
  • Price
Cons
  • Will be added later

Cast iron is a treasure for many years.

I really enjoy working with my cast iron parts. The heat distribution is unmatched. The versatility is unmatched. Maintenance is quick and easy. Fast heat conduction allows me to cook at lower temperatures. This piece is a favorite as I cook for one.

Pros
  • Weight
Cons
  • Minor problems

Necessary. on Pots & Pans

What can I say, the Lodge cast iron pan is amazing. What I like most about the pan is the two loop handles instead of one long one. This makes storage easier and the handles on the stove do not hit each other or hang over the stove at all.

Pros
  • Best in its niche
Cons
  • Compatibility

Nice size and side handles help.

Good size, not as heavy as many cast iron pans. The side handles are very practical for easy carrying of the pot. I have always believed that Lodge products are of high quality. Be sure to follow the instructions for cleaning and proper care of your pot! Consider getting a chain scrubber to make cleaning easier. (Many types are available from Revain.)

Pros
  • Slightly larger
Cons
  • For old

Lodge Pro-Logic Two Handled Pan 8 "

It is part of Lodge's Pro-Logic line and features dual handles and sloping sides. It's also slightly deeper than a regular 8 inch pan and looks good enough to be served on your regular table. Requires the same care as any cast iron product.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • No Instructions

Make Homemade Family Dinners Fun Again

Pan Dinner, Family Pizza Night. Never so easy! This is just one of the great dishes we prepare in our lodge cast iron skillets. The whole family can join in the enchilada skillet, combo casserole and more! From the countertop to preparing family fun, straight to the oven or hob for cooking, straight to the table on the food and cleaning shelves - oh so easy. Nothing, and I mean nothing, ever sticks to cast iron people if they're properly cared for.

Pros
  • Pleasant
Cons
  • Mostly OK, but...

A long-awaited addition ...

... to my cast of a dozen cast iron. One size is perfect for breakfast. It's easy to toast tacos overnight in it. I have to say I'm not a fan of that "aged" line the guys at Lodge put out, but this is an easy fix. A serious soapy scrub followed by cooking a pound of bacon (maybe half a pound for that smaller pan) and then the usual cleaning/heating/oiling solves that problem. Lather, rinse, repeat. There are many resources out there for learning about the use, care and serving of cast iron, and

Pros
  • understandable even to the old
Cons
  • Some little things
