🕹️ Logitech Extreme 3D Pro Precision Flight Stick Review

Works well in MSFS 2020, the back feels overly stiff when moving the stick. Could be a bit more flexible for my taste. The position of the change view button is a bit inconvenient and easy to abuse. (thumb position)

Use this stick for about 6 years, through many Sims. Finally got him out. Still works fine, but an if'y button. So I bought a new one. Amazing performance for the price. And I don't have to learn new controls.

The joystick changed my constant crash to constant landing in FS2020. This was after I figured out how to change the trim to make the plane stable. This is the weakness - the FS2020 instruction is INVALID for various devices. All they provide is a mini diagram that you can't read and then lots and lots and lots of instructions on how to drive. Too heavy, but not the joystick's fault.

I love Logitech products. They have never let me down, the quality is excellent. However, this joystick has a few bumps that I don't like that much. Setting this thing up for some games is a hassle. The range of motion isn't as smooth as we'd like, but given joysticks' ridiculous prices, it's more affordable. It remains fairly quiet during use, but the odd button layout on the left could be better.

Generally an excellent joystick for the money. Just a couple of issues, one of which is that the throttle is very sensitive and it's difficult to get the speed you want, especially when you want 100% power and no WEP. The only other issue might be the top two buttons, five and six, or a bit tricky to press in game, the angle of the top of the joystick forces me, at least for me, to press the two buttons below. I've been in the DOS/Windows world since '85 and except for my first computer I've built everything I've had. I was pulled screaming and kicking into the world of iMac and I will never look back. However, it's a little disheartening that it must be so difficult to find a joystick listed as being compatible with anything other than the Windows platform. UPDATE 3: The problem of my screen going black as if turning off and on again persists. At this point I have to conclude that this is the driver for this joystick as it's the only one I've installed lately. I will return it tomorrow because what's the point of keeping it.
