Great for a turntable with passive speakers!

Just what I need for my player! I have two JBL passive speakers that I wanted to use with an Audio Technica LP120 turntable. It has a built-in preamp and an RCA cable to connect a powered speaker. The speakers I have use speaker wire so I needed these little adapters to make them work. I only took off one star because they don't make the best sound that speakers can produce. But for the price it's very good!

Suitable for connecting modern speakers to vintage RatShack mini amps.

Purchased to connect modern speakers to vintage RadioShack mini amps like the SA-10 etc that use RCA jacks for speaker outputs as well as a fast line connection. -Level stereo components for testing equipment, breadboards, etc. I only use 22-16 AWG wires with them and they seem to work great for that, but heavier gauge wires like 14, 12, etc. The AWG will probably be too big, to fit them.

Very useful in a tool box for audiophiles and hobbyists

A good piece of equipment to have in your tool box for isolating the signal and ground from the RCA connector. Most RCA cables these days seem to come with coax where it is more difficult to separate the two plugs by cutting the cable. Useful for connecting speaker wire to speakers with old school RCA jacks, or for monitoring or splitting an audio or video signal (possibly combined with a female-to-female RCA plug, such as: Electop 10 Pack Audio Video RCA- Female to Female Adapter Gold).

Quality speaker wire connector

I was looking for RCA connectors so I could make my own cables to connect Bose speakers to the subwoofer patch panel. I had several soldered RCA connectors but I needed more. Since Radio Shack is no longer around I searched for Revain and found this product. At first I was hesitant to use the quick connector but decided to give it a try. My initial fears turned out to be wrong. The connection is reliable and I had no problems. An added benefit is that you can also unplug the cord if you make a…

They work pretty well

I used them with 14 gauge wire (because I had it on hand). I don't think you could reasonably use anything more with them, but they work pretty OK well. 16 gauge wire is probably what you "should" use and will work for most speaker setups. If you already have a cable and just want to connect speakers (or other RCA component) without having to buy pre-made cables, these are fine. As at least one reviewer has mentioned, don't twist the wires together. If you're using heavier gauge wire, it's…

Almost as easy as it gets

I was able to use these with 12 gauge wire. I think it would be an exaggeration to say they accept 10 AWG wire. I can't say it doesn't work, but I can't see how because the clamping part of the connector tapers inwards (see image). I initially flooded the ends of the wire, but no matter how tight and little I tried to make the ends (12 AWG) they didn't fit. The internal shape of the clip is mostly square, so I cut new ends and pasted in the bare strands. A NOTICE! I didn't twist the strands but

Pros and cons of plugs and adapters

Good: Very easy to use. There are 10 of them. Bad: They don't work well with monster cables. The clasp is not strong so the wires will pull out if you apply force. I tried closing the pins but that didn't solve the problem. The pins are difficult to press. You will damage your fingertips if you don't train your body. They're a little bulky, but they fit my device if I look at them properly. Conclusion: Not bad, but not particularly good either. When I need to replace them because the wires keep

I really like these little adapters, they saved me time and money.

I installed new door speakers for my truck. After installation I wanted to test my new speakers and unfortunately one of my door speakers didn't work. So I started checking my amp that powers them and found that one of the RCA cables was bad, the wire had almost come loose from the RCA jack. I wanted it up and running asap so I took it to my local car radio store to see if they could fix it and they charged me $12 for a new cable and $90 for installation. It's $112😳😳. That's more than I was…
