Bought this for my two girls as they love doing their homework on their bed which I found uncomfortable. They both use them all the time and it's much better if they sit on their necks and the built-in fan helps keep their computers cool rather than sitting directly on their beds. If a Transformer walked into your life due to a horrific space accident without half a brain and couldn't stand, you would have some idea of how this piece of "gear" works. We had planned a month-long tour of Colorado in our small teardrop RV and I wanted to make sure my back wouldn't pay the price.
