Lotos Consumables Electrodes LTP5000D LTPDC2000D Review

I have a LOTOS LTP5000D. The manual is terrible - you really need to watch the video on their website to learn how to set it up. But that's another matter. This consumable kit contains isolators (pink cups) that will NOT work with the LTP5000D. The threads and the distance between the pot rim and the thread area are not compatible. Very frustrating. Other elements seem to work quite well.

I have a Lotos LTP5000D that I bought from Revain. Someone borrowed it and broke the mug so I ordered this set and it arrived quickly. Nozzles and electrodes are suitable. However, there are no cups. The shell does not fit the threaded portion of the burner head. The plastic body of the handle protrudes slightly from the threaded portion of the torch head. I Love My Lotus Plasma Cutter. However, the torch head and consumables just don't work. These cheap electrodes are hollow inside. Hence her life is short. But what is worse, if they fail, they tend to melt and splatter molten metal all over the inside of the torch. In just a few hours of cutting, two electrodes made it (yes, I had the right compressor and pressure). These consumables are of good quality and work well. I wasn't too keen on the packaging, it came with everything in a padded envelope so the metal tips rattled and rubbed against the ceramic mugs and I broke something. I emailed and they immediately sent me a replacement. So far I am very satisfied with the customer service of this company. As they are "consumables”, they wear out and need to be replaced. You'll get a little more life out of them if you're careful with the power settings…

I've been playing around with lotos/mosaictec/ubargains/uwelding; whatever they've been calling themselves for a month. . The threads on both threaded parts are wrong. Of course, the threads don't match the brown housing of the LTP5000D either. They should only apply to the red LTP5000D chassis. The description doesn't list a red or brown LTP5000D case (who knew they'd use different parts for the same model number? I didn't). I give 1 star because of the bad description.
