Although magnets have a very strong magnetic force, they are extremely fragile. I broke at least half of them just to figure out how I would use them. If you place them within 3-4 inches of something magnetic they will just fly into another object and likely break into multiple pieces.

They elude the 18 pound pull of attraction, but they CAN weigh 3 pounds, and that's a stretch. They certainly won't hold more than a few sheets of paper. They are neither strong nor powerful. They have a really good epoxy finish. So if you want the look and don't need strong or powerful magnets then they might be worth the money but if you want a magnet that will actually pull over 10 pounds then you'll be really disappointed.
