Good quality cable.

I bought this to connect an attic antenna to my SDRplay RSPdx. He replaced the RG-59U cable with F connectors and adapters. I've seen a definite improvement over my cheap extension cord with this cord. The cable is stiffer than I expected and appears to be of very good quality. IMHO it's definitely worth the money.

Pros
  • Accessories and consumables
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

Really good cable! for video cables

This cable has been in the ADS-B receiver for several months and I have tested it myself, it has been unwound, coiled, moved and reused many times, as well as being exposed to rain and freezing temperatures and showing no signs of wear or deterioration. The loss is around 1-2dB at 1.1GHz where I use it.

  • Cables and connectors
Cons

Not every copper is suitable for audio and video accessories.

The resulting cable worked fine for about four months. My SRD receiver had 35-40dBFS signals and then dropped to 20dBFS. Troubleshooting and due to previous cable issues, this cable is NOT suitable for outdoor use. The aluminum shielding is completely corroded, as is the end connection. Center conductor is copper plated aluminum but in good condition.

Cons

Definitely not tactical.

Broke within a week after just one patrol. I ran a wire from the radio to the antenna through my bulletproof vest, and after a week of patrol it broke. I sent traffic and no one replied. At least something happened. I just couldn't imagine the cable breaking. However, there was no signal loss, it worked perfectly for a week. I returned it. If I had known it wasn't going to slow down anymore, I would have ordered another one. 2 stars only because I might recommend it to someone who plans on…

Pros
  • Video Cable
Cons
  • Too long to wait

Good coaxial cable, low loss, ideal for amateur radio

As some reviewers point out, this is a pretty stiff coax cable. The LMR center wire is strong and thicker than most traditional coax cables. This is good electrically, but not always pleasant for work. Best suited for fixed installations, especially when you have a long distance between the transceiver and the antenna.

Pros
  • ✔Connect SMA devices to SMA jack antennas, receivers, meters, radio transmitters and WiFi repeater boosters.
Cons
  • Ugly packaging

Not all copper is suitable for cables and connections

The cable received has worked properly for about four months. My SRD receiver had a 35-40dBFS signal, which then dropped to 20dBFS. Troubleshooting and due to previous cable issues, this cable is NOT rated for outdoor use. The shield is made of aluminum. everything was corroded, including the end connection. Center conductor is copper plated aluminum but in good condition. Reports from other users mentioned that everything was copper, this was not the cable I received.

Pros
  • ✔25 feet (8 meters), size S-LMR240, low-loss coaxial cable, impedance: 50 ohms. The S-LMR240 offers a significantly larger center conductor and maintains better signal retention for longer cables and higher frequencies.
