My husband loves these shorts. I got it as a Father's Day gift and he's still thanking me for it months later. If between sizes, go one size up.

These are heavy shorts, an oxymoron in my world. They are very well made but the compression liner makes them very tight. I gave them to my thinner stepson.

For the first time I had to squeeze into shorts. Unfortunately, I read that they run small, so I ordered a size up, which didn't help me much. Their sizes do not correspond to industry standard sizes.

I own several Birddog shorts and love how versatile they are for the gym or casual wear. But they're also expensive, so I'm worried about tearing them (although that hasn't happened yet). They fit quite well and stretch. I found the liner to be too tight around my hips, but I stretched them a bit to the point where it was comfortable. But ultimately you only need a 4th bag and maybe a slightly larger option. If you can afford Birddog, get it. If $55 is too much for a pair of shorts, buy them.
