UPDATE*** This product was charged on a bedside table. Luckily it was the weekend and we were home. As I sat on the edge of the bed and put on my shoes to leave, I saw smoke rising from the charging cable. Judging by the photo, the plastic has melted. We have a puppy in a cage. I don't even want to think about what could have happened if it started smoking and burning after just a few minutes. Our whole house would burn down. Revain, you must stop selling this product! I bought this night light more than 2 years ago. I've never used a remote control or timer, so I can't comment on that. But I love that it has two white light settings and a multi-color setting that changes every few seconds. I wish you could choose one color to make it stay, but that's not possible. You can change the setting by just clicking on the bear, so it's easy but a little touchy. I like that it is safe for my child. It's soft. Hair sticks to it, but that doesn't bother me. It charges…

One star for attractiveness and variety of colours. The rest is in need of improvement. The touch sensitivity is annoying as it changes colors and modes with every touch, leading to the biggest problem with this night light. You NEED TO LIFT IT to access the hard-to-reach tiny power button on the back next to the charging port. For some inexplicable reason, the remote will NOT turn the unit on unless you press the power button first (again, tiny and hard to reach on the back). Badly designed…

Update: The seller sent me another lamp to replace the non-working one. Now that I have one that works, it's amazing! I like the light dimming feature, I'd like to dim the rotating colors but it's no big deal. I can see reasonably well and the timer means I don't have to worry about battery life. I like that it's soft and I don't have to strain when my son grows up. I would absolutely recommend others to buy this and I will probably get one as a gift for an upcoming baby shower. So neat.…

If you just want a quick snippet of my detailed review this is a great flashlight for toddlers but the remote control doesn't work through walls/doors and the timer function doesn't work . This works well for toddlers. When we moved my son to a crib we needed a light so he could read during his "quiet time" before bed as his hatch didn't have enough light. We were so excited to get a bear night light but unfortunately we got a bunny. It was in a bear box so I'm not sure if it was a return or not. We removed it to see how it works and it looks good. The silicone is really soft and fluffy (almost to the point that it falls apart if you pick it up) but it keeps on inflating which is nice. My kid always liked to crush it. Update 05/10/2020: The charging port is broken AGAIN. light is useless. I find it necessary to say that I do not know how to use the charger properly. I have several different devices that I charge, many of them on a daily basis. I have no problem with lights other than these, even with a fixture that is almost ten years old.
