Not worth the best at Mandolines & Slicers

Bought to slice canned meat, not wide enough for a Spam can. The blades were warped when it arrived and the slices were even.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Factor Set

upset. in kitchen utensils and gadgets

Bought because of SPAM. Doesn't fit and the blades move. It didn't cut well either. Tried it on a tomato. still bad cut. In the end it got very messy.

Pros
  • I like everything so far
Cons
  • Negative is available

Small enough to work well.

I bought this to chop tomatoes. It didn't work that well. While it seems strong enough, it's too short to be effective. That's why my slices were soft.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Not sure

NOT WHAT I EXPECTED

We've had one of these and used it a thousand times (no exaggeration). With a family of five boys and dozens of tomato bushes, we eat sandwiches all summer. This one tore up two tomatoes and the blades are already warped. What can I expect for only $8.99? Right now I'm looking for something that will hold more than two tomatoes.

Pros
  • High marks for grip and durability from testers
Cons
  • Not as thick as other options
