They are alright. while sewing

Either I'm not using them properly or they don't leave marks on clothes that easily. I'm trying to use them with center markers for embroidery. Liquid chalk works best. But they mark OK on some items.

Pros
  • Good thing
Cons
  • I don't remember, but there was something

What does water soluble mean?

DO NOT wash pencil marks with water so be careful when using them to trace lines for quilting or needlework. It's possible for them to come out if the fabric is thoroughly washed and cleaned, but for the way I intended to use them that was impossible. Also, they don't sharpen, but are great for electric sharpeners.

Pros
  • Hands Free
Cons
  • Very Expensive

The only thing I like about these tailor's pencils is the coloring

The only thing I like about these tailor's pencils is the coloring. Two stars for that. The slates appear to have broken internally. Every time I carefully sharpen with a hand sharpener I get a nice blunt point and then when I press it against the fabric the point breaks. I switched from an 8 inch pencil to a 4 inch pencil trying to find a spot in one sitting.

Pros
  • Easy adjustment
Cons
  • There are more interesting options.
