You don't really understand how to push your head. Also, the hole isn't as big as a circle! Because of the way the door has to open, they have to squeeze through a smaller space. This is a great looking cat door that looks much better than standard rectangular cat doors. It's easy to install if you have the right tools like a router. Installed without removing the door, no problem. However, a swing door limits the opening to about 2/3 of its actual size due to how the hinges work. There are no circumstances under which I would recommend this product. After a month of use we were so happy. until this morning. Our cat pushed against the door from below as usual, but somehow his paw got stuck in the ground, with pads half on one side and half on the other. I've never heard of a cat like this in my life. We got this door about 6 months ago when my girlfriend moved in with her cats. We installed it in the hollow door leading to the pantry where we keep the tray. Assembly was fairly easy with a jigsaw and screwdriver. Just don't overtighten the screws or it will restrict the movement of the door.
