Review on Convenient 4-Way Locking LYNX Cat Door for Pets: Ideal for Interior & Exterior Doors by Adam Bonde

Cat got stuck and injured

We got this door about 6 months ago when my girlfriend moved in with her cats. We installed it in the hollow door leading to the pantry where we keep the tray. Assembly was fairly easy with a jigsaw and screwdriver. Just don't overtighten the screws or it will restrict the movement of the door. It took a few days to teach the cats to use the door, but everything went smoothly after that. We are very satisfied with the door and the locking mechanism. But yesterday it became a problem. Apparently the cats were playing and fighting each other. One of the cats went through the door and the other banged on the opening. The door closed on a cat's paw. The harder she tugged, the tighter the door closed. After many scratches and bites, we were able to free the cat from a randomly caught trap. Her paw is about twice as swollen as the other one and she cannot walk on it. Looks like we're lifting the coronavirus lockdown to take the cat to the hospital tomorrow morning.Tldr; The door is cute and we will make it, but it may hurt your pet. 0/10 do not recommend.
