Wood Garage Door Installation Guide

This is a great replacement for worn out, rotted gaskets. Clean the underside of the garage door, scraping off any loose paint etc., then repaint the underside of the door with exterior paint before installing the new seal. STRONGLY RECOMMENDED: Do not hammer in new nails larger than the thickness of the new seal. Just tighten them so the new gasket can fit evenly. Driving in too many new nails will cause the sealing pieces to rise/strengthen, allowing small critters and bugs to pass through…

Buy this Tsunami Seal Garage Door Threshold Seal Kit instead.

Better spend money on a speed bump guide. I replaced the door seal on the bottom of the door (I recommend trimming this seal by 2 inches if possible, as the bottom seal tends to shrink about 2 inches on each side over the course of a year). I decided to try something else, I bought Auto Care Products 18-Foot Tsunami Seal Garage Door Threshold Seal…

What I received was a loose rubber roll (no plastic wrap, just thrown in a wrapper box) which is very different from what is shown in the photos. The most important thing is that the cross section of the rubber is different. The material is very thin and flimsy. He didn't come with nails. Since my inquiry to the seller went unanswered for more than two weeks, I made a return request and a return label was sent to me asking for

Depends on how you intend to use it

PROS: The price is VERY cheap and actually quite wide (other reviews have complained about it) CONS: IF you actually use this as the only gasket for it Virtually no depth at the bottom of the garage door, allowing water, wind, dirt, insects and critters to enter. If your garage floor isn't very level and the garage door is closed with a downward and sustained force (unlikely), there will be gaps. The band is made of a rubbery material that is almost spongy to the touch. The nails provided do…
