This is a great replacement for worn out, rotted gaskets. Clean the underside of the garage door, scraping off any loose paint etc., then repaint the underside of the door with exterior paint before installing the new seal. STRONGLY RECOMMENDED: Do not hammer in new nails larger than the thickness of the new seal. Just tighten them so the new gasket can fit evenly. Driving in too many new nails will cause the sealing pieces to rise/strengthen, allowing small critters and bugs to pass through when the door is lowered. I had to undo a few nails to allow for flexibility. The sealed door is very good after that.
