Very easy to install on my 1996 F150 V8 5

Very easy to install on my 1996 F150 V8 5.0. This is a great price if you have time to wait for delivery. As far as I can tell, that sets the emission codes. I'll have to drive a bit more to confirm, but it looks good. I'll report back if there are problems.

Pros
  • Constant test results
Cons
  • Hard to tell

Not ideal for Ford Taurus 3.0 V6.

I have a 1997 Ford Taurus with a 3.0 liter V6 engine, although I got it to work (with modification) it's not perfect. The manifold has a vacuum port that is blocked by the top nipple on the sensor. If you have a 3.0 liter V6 engine there is a better positioned sensor on Amazon to avoid conflict. (EGR pressure feedback sensor standard engine products VP8T)

Pros
  • Great Design
Cons
  • Zero

Code P0401/97 F150 problem solved

Code P0401/97 F150 problem solved by cleaning the vacuum port in the throttle body/intake manifold. After 20 minutes of driving, the check engine light came on again, this time with code P0420. I did a little research online and found that the EPS4 EGR pressure feedback sensor can also cause this error. Replaced sensor, engine light went out by itself. So far so good, mileage 500 km. Thank you OEM for the exact replacement and fast shipping.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Ugly packaging

The quality is cheaper than the original but it suits me

The original has a metal back but this is all plastic. I've had it installed for about 3 months now and haven't had an EGR code - fingers crossed. I hope this lasts at least a few years. I have a '98 Ford Explorer with almost 300,000 miles and I have a hard time removing the bolts to replace a part. Not impossible, just impractical. I think for the money I would recommend it but there is a high chance of premature failure.

Will not fit without additional hose set and hard line cut

When I see 'OEM' I read 'Original Equipment Manufacturer' as they made the part for Ford and it will fit just like the original. Part. "OEM" in this case is a misleading abbreviation for the manufacturer of the part. Although it should fit after the $12 hose kit arrives in a few days and I trimmed the hard lines a few inches to make room for the new rubber lines, it would be nice if they mentioned the extra parts needed , and "A bit of pruning is required."

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • thin
