I was struggling to find a DAC that would work with my Aruba S2500-48p switch, but this one worked great! However, you CAN get an unsupported SFP+ error when connecting this DAC to a picky Intel card. This is not a cable error, but rather a wrong decision by Intel to only allow Intel SFPs. I was able to use a kernel mod to force RHEL7 and RHEL8 to ignore the error from the NIC and use SFP. I'm getting damn close to the full 10 Gb/s with this cable. Love it!

Works with Aruba S2500 48-port POE switch. The other end connects to a Dell R710 server with a Solarflare Flareon SFN7002F NIC. The cable was accepted by the switch with no problems and shows up as 10GB in the management console. I hope this helps anyone looking to install a cheap 10GB in their home.

Works with 10GB if the appropriate modules are installed that will work with it. I haven't looked at Procurve switches and thought they would work on the front ports, but my model doesn't support them without the expensive expansion ports on the back. When I grimaced and bought them, they worked without any problems.

A bit long for my use case, but even the longest one (that I've bought) works between the Aruba switch and the Mellanox cards . Get 9.6 Gbps between two servers (iperf TCP). I will buy more in the future. However, I need to test it with the HP dual port card I bought.
