I ordered it without knowing that it's aluminum. I thought it was an improved ductile iron lid. The quality of this diff cover is amazing, it's easy to see why it's so expensive. It is very well made and the magnetic dipstick and drain plug are good. However, I need it for a car that gets quite a bit of off-road use and aluminum just doesn't fit. I have a 2009 Chevy Tahoe LTZ 6.2L Gasoline Engine. This is the correct bolt pattern and cap size for my application, but the anti-roll bar and cross member are about 1.5 inches from the rear differential.
