Gray Sliding Discs - Magic Sliders 4038 Series, Pack of 4, 1-1/2 Review

It's been a while since I've had to replace the original sliders, I expected the same quality. They originally came with separate staffs, but they were attached. Poor quality sticker peeled off in 1 week. The white layer for the gliding component also seems to be thinner so I doubt it will last as long as the original product.

They're as slippery as they should be, but the rubber cap that holds them to the table leg wears out and cracks over time. This is at home, not in the garage or on the street. Therefore, they need to be replaced from time to time. This is very bad because the important (and expensive) part, the slippery part, is much more durable.

These little things work. I was concerned that the metal legs of my coffee table would damage my new rug and I wanted to be able to move the coffee table if needed without damaging the rug. With these discs he glides! And my coffee table is heavy - steel with a slate top. I would absolutely recommend them. Can't comment on the durability of the glue yet, but it seems pretty sticky.

My first purchase of Magic Sliders a few years ago fitted my dining chair legs perfectly with an elastic top that stretched over the wood and held them in place. The new ones I just bought didn't have a stretchy elastic top, just lay flat with an adhesive that sticks to the wood. I don't really like them even though they were easy to install. One is already over the moon, because the chair is used the most.
