A few years ago I made a laptop stand for my workshop out of 1/2 inch cast iron pipe, it was strong and functional but this one is wobbly and unreliable not bad but you have to be gentle, in every workshop or office. Gentle isn't anything to worry about with something your computer supports - strong and durable are the terms you want to know, and this stand isn't. It also doesn't support a mouse. Like most of these stands. failure of my assessment.

My favorite is the stand. I wish it was a little more flexible with the first arm joint. In fact, where the feet are pointing, shows the first joint of the hand. It would be nice if this could be customized as well. The holding part of the iPad could be a bit stronger. It works great in landscape mode, but when you switch to portrait mode it can slip due to the 12.9's weight and gravity. But I still like using the stand. I had back surgery and this device kept me going. I can put it next to the bed, sofa or chair and it works great. It goes higher than I first thought, so that's great. I also like that it has 3 different attachments. The laptop holder is the best, especially on yoga style laptops when you can fold the keyboard onto the back. You can then flip it further. Simply put, I'm incredibly upset and disappointed. I read pretty simple and clear instructions and started assembling the base. I spent over an hour using an Allen wrench and all my brawn to attach the large black screw between the rod and the base. He just doesn't fit in. The instructions recommend a YouTube video (good idea). I watch as the person in the video slides that black screw into place with absolute ease. I try again with an Allen key, but to no avail. Almost 1 year in use and I'm still impressed. The only thing I want is a longer arm. It's long enough to use, but I want to be able to twist it either way and still use it. This asks too much of each holder. Can still read straight ahead and completely sideways. I tense my joints about once a month. No problems on either side. I bought this product thinking the arm rotates so I could just tilt my laptop when I get up from my chair, only to find out that only part of the arm is rotated . Where the arm is attached to the post, it does not rotate. The bar has a groove that runs the full length of the bar and where the arm attaches to it the groin screws go to the collar of the arm and into that groove so you can only move your arm up and down. The arm does have an elbow joint that pivots, but not enough to get my laptop
