Disappointing for my 4 year old son. And I understand why, 3D polarity when there are only two dimensions, negative or positive. Causes an unexpected fall of parts. Even the shape they advertise in the box doesn't stick together. Pretty simple magnetic physics.

After a few months they started to break at the corners where the magnets are. We've had them for a few months but we've played with them maybe 3 times. Then my children became very interested in her, so I released her. After a week they started breaking and I had to throw them away for fear my kids or cats might swallow the magnets.

it's soooo dangerous! Wow. My daughter played with it and stepped on it, it jumped up and the tiny magnets fell off immediately. I also have a crawling baby. Luckily I was able to quickly locate all the magnets. Really shocked this is being sold as a toy for children. house with children. With babies. Do not take any risks! Who says they don't work with Magnatiles isn't trying hard enough. And by "strong enough" I mean "fairly". They are definitely compatible. See image. My 3 year old grandson loves it. We use the tray they arrived in to ensure all parts are returned meaning supervised play but that is fine. They stay on a high shelf when that's not possible. The combinations he makes are amazing, the colors are vibrant, and they teach important lessons about magnets and attraction, all under the guise of a game.
