Good looking and functional

Installed a quad USB outlet in my 2013 RPod travel trailer. When sold, the socket has a small green light to indicate that it has power. toggle switch. I added a toggle switch so it can be turned off during extended trailer storage rather than slowly draining the deep cycle trailer battery. It may not be necessary, but it won't hurt either.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Long delivery time

It is great. We have a solar house off the grid and.

This is great. We have a house without solar panels, and like everyone else, we have a lot of devices that charge via USB ports. these special devices are designed for 12 volt direct current and are also available for standard household current (120 volt alternating current). This eliminates all those transformers and extra cables, every engineering house should have more than one of these, we have 2 installed and will be installing at least 2 more.

Pros
  • Sleek design
Cons
  • Available in white only

Not good for me Good for a gift

I bought two of these and put them in our motor home. The flange is a little thick so the lid doesn't sit flat. never mind The real problem is that they don't charge our Samsung J7 phones. When plugged in, the phone starts to discharge fairly quickly. The input voltage of MH is 13.5V, so it should be fine. I emailed Magnadyne a few weeks ago and received no response other than an out of office message. Useless to me.

Pros
  • Trial for a year
Cons
  • Bad experience

Works well as described for regular charging and Apple USB charging.

Works well. I have two of these devices in my RV (one in the cab for charging while driving, one in the back for charging while sleeping). Effortlessly charges standard USB devices and Apple devices. I had all 4 ports at the same time and still charge well. You will (obviously) need your own charging cables. But beware of inferior cables. Any charging issues I've had (with any charger) seem to be due to poor quality cables.

  • Decent performance

Three bad ones in a row.

I bought and installed two. They worked for a while and one stopped working. I bought a new one to replace this one and the other one stopped working and this one never worked. The spec says 12V MAX. My DVM shows 12.7 volts. It's pretty much useless when it's that picky. I'm sorry I spent money on these things. I'm wondering if a pull-up resistor or voltage divider can provide a low enough voltage to work? But then I created a heat source that is wasting the battery, I think I'll just replace…

Pros
  • Nice to use

Ideal for replacing the RV light on wheels!

I bought this for our converted camper. We removed the bunk beds and there was a lamp on the wall for the bottom bunk. We didn't want to put the light back in the same place and there was a hole. We bought parts from a local camper shop and asked the gentleman if there was a way to switch to a standard outlet. and then he offered a USB socket. It took me a while to find this, but it worked perfectly! I ended up buying this and a spice rack from Ikea to make a charging station for our phones. We

Good socket for mobile homes

I installed it in our five wheeler camper and it works great. We often have 3 devices charging at the same time, phones and tablets, and it handles them with ease. Didn't have 4 hooked up at once but I'm sure that will work fine. Remember that these are cables in a 12V DC circuit, so for domestic use. They have a similar model that you can plug into your 120VAC house wiring if needed. I am deducting 1 star because this mount does not fit the standard thin caps as stated in the description…

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
