Muffler was excellent and arrived brand new undamaged. The muffler gives the engine a nice deep idle that's noticeably louder than stock. Not as loud as the Flowmaster when idling, but still noticeable. the engine turns fine. However, don't buy it if you have a GM Chevy or GMC V8 truck because the drone is absolutely AMAZING. You'd better buy a Flowmaster 40 or 50 because they make less noise. This muffler was excellent on my f 150 with a 4.6 v8 engine (which made minimal hum when installed).

I put this on my 500 mile truck. I was a bit reluctant to remove the factory muffler since it was brand new. Well, not anymore. That thing sounds great. I was torn between 18 and 14 inch models. I'm very glad I didn't go for the 18. It's not too loud and has a nice low growl with very little highway hum. Already driven 5000 km, the sound is still excellent. Get one.

Very glad I got this. The cost of the part plus professional weld installation was much less than the cost of the kits. I'm glad I bought the 14" instead of the 18" - I wanted my truck to sound more aggressive without annoying the neighbors. It has a nice low rumble, but not that loud or obnoxious. I hear a slight hum in the cabin when accelerating or otherwise pushing the engine, but while driving I hear almost nothing. I was a little nervous that the 14" would be too loud, but it's perfect. Vehicle: 2001 GMC Sierra 4.8L V8. Rear gear ratio 3.73. I recently had a 40's Flowmaster Bought stock for my Sierra and couldn't stand the highway rumble on the interstate.Took it out and took it back to the factory.Decided to test the aftermarket muffler again but this time Magnaflow as they use different technology than the Flowmaster.
