Don't buy this junk!

That's nonsense! Don't buy this junk! Light the spec and it broke in my bike. Before it even came close to spec. Luckily I was able to pull out the half that had chipped off my bike without having to pierce it.

Pros
  • Price
Cons
  • Very expensive

Everything I expected.

Seems like a decent design. Good blue color. A magnet strong enough to hold my XDM 3.8 Compact without a magazine should be strong enough to hold iron particles in my oil. Installed on a 2010 Genesis 3.8 V6 coupe.

Pros
  • Nice to use
Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something

Will cost you if you have to remove the broken drain plug.

Broke off with light oiling. It costs me a lot more money than just buying the OEM. You have to get into the car to unscrew the bolt and change the oil again. Do yourself a favor and don't buy anything from this seller.

Pros
  • Great construction
Cons
  • Quality

The aluminum connector is a huge bonus over the steel connector

This is excellent quality. Two things to watch out for: It's an ALUMINUM drain plug. Be careful not to tip over or you could damage the connector. The benefit of aluminum is that when properly attached, you get a better seal. I decided to order a small pack of shims so I can change the shim at every oil change to avoid leaks. I would strongly advise against using the washer that came with it.

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Expensive

Fur, single use only

After a single use, the threads on the fork fell off completely. I was hoping this would last for at least 5-6 oil changes, but unfortunately only one. very disappointing. Which is a relief considering I initially thought the plug had blown out of my oil pan. but unfortunately it was in the fork itself. I would pay the extra $$ to get a good fork, just not worth using. On the other hand, the magnet is really good. So 2 stars for one-time use, throw it away.

Pros
  • High marks for grip and durability from testers
Cons
  • I don't like it at all, everything is fine

Make sure the magnet clears the oil return strainer.

I didn't know the Polaris Ranger had to be specially torqued the oil pan drain plug. If not, over time the threads will become stripped and unusable, so I took the project to drill and thread the next size up and settled on this product. The magnet sticks out a bit and had to be grounded or it would hit the oil return strainer and seriously damage it. The drill and points were difficult to find on site, but luckily Revain made it easy. The installation was successful, a month has passed, there…

Pros
  • Hands-free operation
Cons
  • Hard to tell

Aluminum is not the right material for an oil filler plug

As I expected this drain plug is aluminum although this is not stated anywhere in the description. I chose this because I liked the red color (restoration of an old golf cart), but aluminum is definitely not the ideal material for an oil drain plug. It's much softer than steel (slight thread distortion) and since many oil pans are cast aluminum there's twice as much chance of threads crossing. Add to that the fact that it's made in China so the red andozid doesn't appear very strong and the…

Pros
  • Nice little thing

Intermediate oil change, so far so good

I drive about 2000 miles a month. I installed this on my VW TDI (2015 MK VII). I had some concerns initially because it's aluminum and my normal sump drain plugs are steel, which I replace with a dealer unit every time. engine in oil. So I try that. I was very careful not to overtighten the drain plug (because it's aluminum), but I squeezed it just enough so it wouldn't come loose. I checked the oil level every few days, then about every 2 weeks. The oil level is constant. It's been almost 2…

Pros
  • Everything is fine!

  • There are other interesting options.

Perfect fit for Honda engine

Delivered on time. Excellent price. As mentioned in previous reviews, the included washing machine was a custom size. I also ordered a 50 piece Honda OEM washer kit. Instead of the washer that came with it, I used the factory washer. That works fine. I didn't change the oil when I changed this bolt and the flow stopped long before the bolt was fully unscrewed. It was 3 days ago. I have no reason to believe this plug will ever leak with proper use. For people who think it's easier to take off…
