🔪 Enhanced Magnetic Knife Block Holder with Bamboo Eco-Friendly Design for Elegant Cutlery Storage and Display Review

The overall quality of this knife is cheap. This is my second because the first had flaws and so did this one. On the corner is another stain, though not as serious as the first. They claim it's bamboo, but it's clearly bamboo veneer. You can see the tree from the worn angle. The block is sturdy and the magnet seems to work pretty well.

Easy and efficient access to your kitchen knives. Very stable and good magnetic attraction - also holds large knives well (see fig.). Easy to clean. Small size for the number of knives it holds. 2 weeks old, so I can't say anything about durability, but seems to be very well made. A good option for knives that are the right size or shape and don't fit in regular knife blocks.

I bought these to fit all my large kitchen knives. Since both sides can be used, I also get a steak knife and scissors. It stands upright so it doesn't take up too much space on the table. I had to return the previous one because the slanted one took up more space. I'm tall, but the knives pull straight out. No sharp edges like hanging magnetic strips. Its width at base is 4 inches, height 9 1/4. It's 15 inches tall and the handles of my largest knives protrude.

The stand is very sturdy and heavy. We are having trouble installing the vertical component on the base. The holes were too small for screws. We need to drill through holes in the base and enlarge the guide holes in the vertical part. Bamboo is NOT soft, so large holes are needed. We discovered this by removing the heads of the included #6 screws. Also, either the base or the vertical aren't flat, so we can see a small gap for dirt to collect. The magnets are very strong and hold my knives with no problem. I have a 1lb 8oz carving knife and I have to pull it towards me vertically instead of straight or it will tip over. All of my other knives are light enough that I can pull them right towards me. I also have a 17" honing tool (12" steel, 5" handle) that sits on top of the block. I am very happy with the looks and performance of the device. slightly wider, which would give stability to the block.

Attractive? Yes. Appears to be tightly built. But every knife I put on it, larger than a paring knife, swings and falls as if the magnets inside the block were just on top. I have expensive knives - not a very good system and after a few months of working with it I can't get any more performance out of it. This freed up a lot of countertop space for our personal needs. This is a good looking magnetic block with significant weight that does a great job with our range of knives. The only downside is that 3 cracks appeared in the block a few days after our return window. I don't know how much more they will grow, but it reduces the quality of the product. Solid. Easy construction; use a ratchet screwdriver. The magnet is very strong, stronger than most other blocks, with a long reach. Suitable for narrow blades. If you use steel forks and spoons for routine prep work, they'll hold up, too, or at least have something to lean on.
