It works! I like the small design of the mini skimmer entry because it doesn't take up much space in the aquascape. Ideal for aquariums up to 45cm (and especially for shallow aquariums that require a skimmer). In general, this is what you need for a hobby.

i was really excited about this collection tube as it is the smallest i have found for my 10 gallon rimless tank with the oase filtosmart 100. The glass tube itself is excellent. The plastic flap at the bottom is loose, even with an O-ring, but at least it seals. The skimmer is too small for the glass tube and the water is completely diverted. Even if the bottom valve is fully closed, it still doesn't prime the skimmer.

Like others, I was looking for a small skimmer tube for a small fish tank. This one looked promising and despite the recent comments I was hopeful. My aquarium is small and long. It looked like a good mini because it's only six inches tall, which would be perfect. The problem is in the floating part. Okay part of the phone was a joke but why is the phone in the first picture? Size comparison, I think anyway. But I think they should include a cleaning brush with each of these glass/acrylic inlets/returns as they attract a lot of algae underwater. This is why filter manufacturers use black or dark green (it blocks some of the light that promotes algae growth). The part is well built, there are no bubbles on the glass, the air intake cutouts are very well aligned, and it works well enough for…
