Good price! fits oil filter and accessories

I would give it 5 stars but the original design of this gasket is such that it fails and needs to be replaced about every 50,000.

Pros
  • delivery was very fast
Cons
  • protection

Problem is best solved in filters

I have decided to replace both gaskets although I only had a leak in the oil cooler, good thing it has to be done while it's disassembled and I'm glad that I did it. The oil filter housing gasket looked like it had very little life left before it started leaking. My 2010 BMW 528i (N52) had 109,000 miles when I changed it. No more leaks for a few hundred miles!

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Upgradable

BMW 535i 2008 in Oil Filter

Gaskets fit perfectly, no leaks. To update. After 9 months the seals failed. It's not a bad brand so I'm not sure what happened. I can definitely see where they broke and oil came through them. It looked like most of the seal had collapsed. There was even a valley in the middle. Replaced by another brand which I have compared with new Mahle. And found that another brand was slightly heavier and stronger.

Pros
  • Best in the niche
Cons
  • Reliability

Quality Seal for Oil Filter and Accessories

This seal is made from a thick, pliable poly rubber material that is very wear resistant. This is a durable replacement seal that will prevent oil leakage. The fit was perfect for my 2006 BMW 3 liter engine. However, the installation is complicated. I recommend an experienced mechanic to perform repairs with the correct body bolt torque settings (to keep the gasket from warping). I'm out of oil! I am very happy about this quality feature.

Pros
  • Very good value for money

Takes care of replacing BOTH gaskets on a 2008 BMW X3 30si V6

The oil filter housing on a 2008 BMW X3 30si V6 has two gaskets that are known to leak. They fit perfectly and are good value for money. They're packed up. Install dry and torque to the correct ft.lb. Watch the video how to do it right. Also buy replacement screws as they are aluminum and disposable. They break under the torque if you try to reuse them. Do not check this advice; you will kick yourself

Pros
  • Handy item
Cons
  • So far so good

Read this review and think!

Excellent OEM seals for my 2008 BMW 528xi. Some people struggle with the top right screw, which is under the top air intake. If you unplug the alternator and have a short socket you should be able to remove the bolt easily. To facilitate removal/installation of the drive belt, take a photo of the route before removing. If you are also making an oil cooler gasket, be prepared to remove the coolant hose to access the bolt from the rear. When you're done, don't forget to properly bleed the cooling

Pros
  • So far satisfied
Cons
  • Will write later
