Quality product to fit filter

Used on GTI 2011. The filter I received was an upgraded version of 6.6 BAR. As others have suggested, changing the filter eliminated the "judder" I sometimes experienced when accelerating from low to moderate.

Pros
  • One year trial
Cons
  • Only available in white

2014 1.8 Jetta Best in Filter

Service manual doesn't say anything about replacement but I figured 110k might. I had no problems but the removed filter was leaking a lot of black petrol so I guess it had to be done. Mahle makes excellent (OEM) filters for VWs and they are relatively cheap so it was a good buy and they were easy to install.

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • Cord shorter than others

fits best in spares

Used on Jetta 2014. Only tool needed was a Phillips head screwdriver to loosen the clip holding the filter to the car. The fuel lines are disconnected and reconnected without tools and everything works great. I jacked up the rear of the car on the passenger side for easier access, but I could have done it without the jack. Jack was literally 2 feet from me so I used him :).

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model
