Beautiful rustic style cheese board. I love the dark finish on the board, the light cheeses really stand out. As a caterer I have worked with several different charcuterie boards and they are very large and very beautiful. The shape is great too, love that it's long and allows more people to access the board at a buffet or party.

PROS - Can be used for a variety of reasons and occasions. I used it as a small board for cookies and treats for my birthday, but you can also use it as a cutting board for slicing bread, fruit and veg. - Looks very high quality. - Very durable. - Looks modern and clean! CONS - I wouldn't recommend slicing something like raw chicken on it. It can get into cracks in the wood and be difficult to clean.

My wife and I often have fun and are always on the lookout for serving boards in different sizes. This Main & Mesa Board is very attractive and perfect for serving cheese, fruit or various meat dishes. I love the look of wood and it goes well with different decorations. The handle is long, so it's better to use it on a fairly large table. It's also easy to clean. The board is also a good gift for the hostess or for those who love beautiful presentation of dishes. I think this would be better for decoration or display than a real chopping board. It doesn't seem to hold up very well to normal washing, it does have some sort of "espresso stain" on it, but it's not clear if that stain is food safe. good cutting boards are usually not "tarnished". I'm really disappointed with this board. It came in a brown paper wrapper and a brown cardboard box. Neither the packaging nor the box said anything about the product being food safe. On the board itself there is a dark stain applied to the light wood and it looks greasy. I wouldn't trust it with food, but it can be made into a unique decorative item.
