Great product at half the price. Five Stars

Great product at about half the price. It melts quickly and seems to hold up well to everything I've used so far. Five stars

Pros
  • Absolutely Amazing!
Cons
  • Some small things

Good even distribution

This is my favorite electric solder. It's thin enough to melt quickly and thick enough to coat the wires with a strong solder joint. I will buy again.

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Lots of stuff

Turn the heat down and enjoy. 😁

Good solder. Flows well. Sticks well. The only thing to note is that the melting point is slightly lower than many solders. I usually ride 400 degrees. More like 375.

Pros
  • Heavy coating
Cons
  • Some problems

Good solder. in Soldering and Soldering Accessories

This is a good solder for fine electrical work. Flows well and appears to be the perfect amount of flux. There is nothing better than matching the diameter or plumb to the task at hand. Makes life a lot easier. Also, the label no longer says "lead-free". Jim

Pros
  • Best
Cons
  • Can't remember

Thin strong solder. Contains no lead.

The 0.8mm size is quite thin but suitable for small electronic projects and wire sculptures that I make. Solder joints are strong. The solder consists of tin (Sn) and lead (Pb) with a rosin-based flux. Strangely enough, the label on the reel says "LEAD FREE SOLDER".

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Requires socket

MUCH better than lead-free

I hated soldering but used crappy lead-free solder. Yes, I care about the environment, but when I need to fix a project around the house, I also make sure the job is done right. This material works very well and does not have an unpleasant odor when used.

Pros
  • dope πŸ”₯
Cons
  • Expensive

Excellent solder for precision work

When performing precision soldering, the presence of lead solder lowers the melting point; This is important when trying to reduce the area affected by the heat. This very fine soldering coil melts only tiny amounts of solder, ideal for today's compact electronics. I was very happy with its performance, especially when compared to lead-free options.

Pros
  • Highly rated by testers for grip and durability
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks

One of the best 63/37 solders you can buy, this is VERY good.

This is one of the best solders I have ever used and is identical to the Kester preformed solder. I really like this material, personally I think it even flows a little better than Kester solder on stranded wire. If you are into radio control then you simply cannot beat this lot. I wish they would sell spools for Β£1 because I would still buy more of these than a Kester even if the price was the same just because they fit the wire perfectly. The amount of flux is perfect, you don't get small…

Pros
  • Comfortable to use
Cons
  • old
