I've used a few of them in various projects and portable power packs now and they work great and charge very quickly. Keep in mind that if you don't use a heavy-duty charging cable, it may not charge very quickly, or if you don't supply enough power to the module. In my experience they work fine at 12 volts, but they work even better at 20 or 24 volts if you have a good 5 amp RMS power supply behind them. But you have to try the different cables you have and stick a boost probe into the inputโ€ฆ

Great, but a few missteps.

This UPS power supply for Raspberry Pi works great. This way you can run your Pi with a pair of 18650s and charge [healthy] batteries without them exploding. It's usually easy to install. The hardest part of the installation is attaching the nuts to the metal studs on top of the Pi. You may need electric/small wrenches, but if you're careful you can do this with your thumb and forefinger. If I had to complain about anything, I would probably complain that the power button isn't as reliable asโ€ฆ

Pretty little converter

Sooo good so far. Please note that I bought the USB STEP DOWN model and it works great. I only wanted one, but four for the price of one theft. They feel robust and have good contact surfaces. I was able to solder the XT60 to one pad and a fat jumper to the other. I'm pretty sure three amps will be shared when used with two devices, so 1.5 amps per USB port. So far I have tested it with different voltages of 11.1 3S (Lithium Ion), 12-14V (Lead Acid), 18V drill batteries and it has worked withโ€ฆ
