Makita 321492 3 Template Guide Review

Just had a chance to use it Wow what a difference, excellent quality and helps get to work without dropping the workpiece and to damage.

Needed this template adapter specifically for dovetail and everything works great. The standard template guides I had were from Porter Cable and this dovetail guide fitted perfectly.

I have a Makita RT0701C trimmer and a dive center 196094-Z. I wanted to use the Rockler State Sign Set to make some signs. The State Park Sign Kit includes a guide bushing. This adapter is needed to attach the guide bushing to the piston base. It fits perfectly and works great.

Will not fit 1 1/4" diameter cutters. They are about 1/64" too narrow to be cut with a file to fit a standard cutter. The Makita battery -Router has the same problem with the bottom plate. sells its metric products in the US market with no modifications or changes in sizing systems. Thanks Makita!

I had to use my Makita RT0701CX7 router with my Porter Cable dovetail jig to make some box connections and it worked. I'm so surprised there wasn't a router, but we live in times like these. To keep the price competitive, they simply cut out parts of the original. One day they will sell you a motor and you can put all the parts together to make a router, saw or drill.

I have a fake Makita grinder and wanted to use guide bushings with it. I bought this adapter not quite sure if it would fit but figured I could return it if not. It fits perfectly on the dive center and goes well with my guide bushings. Can't speak to durability etc. If there's a downside, it's the price. For the price of this adapter I bought a full set of guide bushings that came with the adapter. But that's my fault, not the manufacturer of this adapter.

Perfect fit for my RT0701CX7 dive center. I contend that Makita should have included this in the kit I recently purchased. At least tell me where I can buy this thing. This adapter allows the use of industry standard template tools (porter cords) in a dip socket. Makita places a lot of emphasis on the RT0701C's ability to use the "industry standard" but doesn't tell you that you need to spend more dollars ($30) on this adapter to get the plunge base to do the job. I give this adapter 5 stars…
