Description of πŸ”© Makita B59243 SDS Plus Assorted Drill Bits

Sds-Plus shank allows drilling in metal or wood without switching to a drill or using a special chuck adapter for operator convenience and productivity. Metal drilling bits are made of grounded high-speed steel (hss-g) for longer life and feature 135Β° split point geometry for reduced walking. Brad point wood drill bits provide clean, straight holes in wood. Specially designed shorter shank helps prevent damage from accidental use in "Hammering with rotation" mode on rotary Hammers. For use in "rotation only" mode on rotary Hammers.

Disappointing performance, avoid this drill

Based on our own experience, this drill failed to meet our expectations. While it's marketed as an industrial-grade tool, we found it lacking in power and precision. The only positive aspect was the range of sizes available in the set. However, the lack of performance outweighs this and we cannot recommend this product.

Pros
  • Comes with a variety of drill bits for versatile use
Cons
  • No automatic

Bits for wood and metal for SDS-Plus drills.

Great item for SDS Plus drill bits. Accessible. Exactly what I was looking for, wood and metal drill bits for a puncher. I believe Makita is the only company that makes these bits. I am happy. Fast delivery!

Pros
  • Masonry Drill Bit Sets
Cons
  • Small Parts

What I Didn't Know

I was so excited to find a wood drill bit to use with SDS and didn't realize how short they were. Drilling a 3 inch deep hole in wood is usually not a problem on a construction site. A small screw will work for this. Was looking for heavy duty wood drill bits that were longer and a half inch or larger in diameter. Turns out they don't make them.

Pros
  • Power Tools and Hand Tools
Cons
  • Big and Bulky
