After 15 years and about seven different disc/disc sanders from Black and Decker and Ridgid (flat square, shaped iron, orbital, 5", 6", .) and my 5" Ridgid was starting to spook with some metallic grinding noises (after probably 100 hours of grinding over the years), I needed a new 5" Orbital Disc. Makita tools also come with some of the best hard cases to protect your new tool which is…

Pros
  • Orbital sander
Cons
  • Not as thick as others
