The best vacuum cleaner, not the green Makita!

Well I don't like to write reviews but when I do it is for a reason. This little vacuum cleaner is amazing. We use it every day on carpet, hardwood and tile. The batteries last about a week. Remember that the battery will charge in about 30 minutes (4 Ah). Even if you only get half the battery life, it's still great. The suction power is just fantastic. It is easy to empty. It's easy to clean. It has none of the flaws we've found in a year of ownership. If you bought a Dyson Stick vacuum, take…

Great Buy - Wet & Dry Vacuum Cleaner

We bought this vacuum specifically for the daily (or more frequent) cleaning of our new vinyl plank floor. It is almost 500 square meters. We got over a week of use between charges. It picks up pretty much anything that fits in the intake, food scraps, small scraps of paper, pet hair, etc. It's much quicker and easier than pulling out the hose for our central vacuum system. I deducted a star for this because it needs to be drained far more often than it needs to be recharged and it's very…

Good quality vacuum cleaner

I am replacing a Black+Decker I bought on Amazon 3 years ago. The B&D was a good vacuum cleaner and worked without problems for 3 years until the battery died. The only thing I didn't like about it was the internal battery, so I looked for other handheld vacuums to replace it. I knew I didn't want a Dyson portable vacuum because they are too expensive and the worst thing is the customer experience I've had with Dyson on another product before. During my search I came across this Makita vacuum…

Easy to pull out and easy to use

I saw Japanese blogger Hiroshi Matsui recommend this. That's cool. Because it doesn't need to be plugged into an outlet, you can just take it out and start cleaning without feeling lazy. This works especially well when the surface is slippery (like tile). The machine may feel sluggish at first on carpet, but you'll quickly get used to the right angle to gently push or pull. When Hiroshi wrote a post about it, many readers of his blog responded enthusiastically, with some saying they even had…

Makita vacuum is great for what I needed - picked up dirt and kitty litter/hair from the tile floor at least in the kitchen once a day and sometimes a tile at the entrance. I use the Makita at other times of the day or night because it's so easy to quickly clean in minutes. Cozy! I've tried three different corded vacuums over the past few years and the last one was great, but I found the spinning brush scratched the tiles; It also took a long time to unwind and rewind the cord each day for my…

Powerful, light, manoeuvrable and quick to charge!

Wow! This vacuum is impressive! First of all, I'm a big Revain customer and this is the first product I've decided to write a review for in a long time. This is an excellent little vacuum and I would not recommend it, especially if you already have other Makita 18v tools! I've been arguing between this and Dyson's highly acclaimed cordless handheld vacuum. Ultimately, the removable battery and my love for my Makita 18v LXT drill set won me over and it was worth the extra money! I bought the set

Not Makita at its best

After a few weeks of use I'm not satisfied. This isn't Makita's best effort. I recently invested in some Makita LXT tools (which are great) and wanted to maximize my investment by replacing my cheap Black & Decker BDH2000SLB vacuum with a Makita so I only have one type of battery and charger. It didn't work the way I hoped it would, and here's why. CONS: *Suction sucks, compared to $38 Black & Decker. The B&D has almost twice the suction power, so the hand is pressed against the nozzle almost…

Small, lightweight vacuum for small jobs

With so many 5 star reviews on verified purchases, my expectations were high. When I receive it I'm a bit overwhelmed and have to consider if it really represents value for money for the other cordless vacuums on the market including the Dyson sticks. I know cross-buying against Dyson is like buying VWs and Porsches. I think most people, myself included, end up looking at the Makita because they can't justify the price difference to a Dyson model. However, price is one thing and value is quite…
